Certified Project Management Associate (IPMA Level D®)

The explanation and communication of the project management methods according to the IPMA International Competence Baseline (ICB) and how to apply them are in the foreground of the 11-day qualification course of the preparation of Project Management Associate (IPMA Level D®)

You will learn the most important tools and techniques, which are necessary to successfully steer a project through its main management phases (initialization, definition, planning, execution/ monitoring, and closing). All topics are presented and put into practice using a wide scope of participatory learning methods that allow participants to share and reflect upon their project management experience and thus link new information to their previous experience.

The training starts with a one-day kickoff. During the subsequent three three-day workshops, the integral components and techniques of project management will be outlined, interrelated and applied to different project areas and phases. Techniques and tools will be explained and applied to case studies, exercises and the so-called ”Transfer Evidence Report” that participants compile as part of their certification requirements in the course of the training.

Technical, behavioral and contextual project management topics are practiced and reflected in plenary and working groups through presentations and experienced based learning projects. At the end of the training course, you will be systematically prepared for the oral and written Level D certification examination.

The Level D certification consists of three components:

» Transfer Evidence Report
» 2 hours written examination
» 20 - 30 minutes oral assessment

The certification is conducted by two assessors of PM-ZERT. PM-ZERT is the certification body of the German Association for Project Management (GPM), the German member of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

The Transfer Evidence Report is drafted during the course of the training and reviewed by the trainers prior to its submission to PM-ZERT. Mock examinations and simulations support participants by testing their knowledge and help to prepare them for the actual exam.

The Premium Know How trainers have repeatedly been recognized as Benchmark Trainers by the GPM, due to the high pass rate and the positive course evaluation from participants.
